Description:
Fyshwick Sewage Treatment Plant Upgrade consisted of the construction of new inlet works and a switchboard building. The new inlet provides more efficient screening and grit removal and addresses the OH&S issue of the existing inlet works. The switchboard building is for the electrical instrumentation monitoring and control upgrade for the whole plant.
Scope of works:
- Construction of an inlet works with a hydraulic capacity of 530L/s
- Installation of mechanical band screens with associated screw wash presses
- Installation of vortex grit trap mechanical equipment and grit classifier.
- Supply and installation of a grit and screenings storage bin facility and building
- Maintain the operation of the treatment plant by temporary diversion of inlet sewers and during connection and commissioning of new facility.
- Construct an odour control facility including installation of the odour treatment system.
- Supply of pumps and construction of a wash water pump station to provide treated effluent for the operation of the band screens and screw wash presses

- Construction n of a switch board building

- Relocation of the ferrous dosing facility for the old inlet works to the new.
- Commissioning and testing of new inlet works and associated facilities
