Description:
The Harrison District Playing Fields involved the construction of two new playing fields including cricket pitches, practise cricket nets and two new carparks, one being accessed from Nullarbor Av and the other accessed from Katoomba St.
Scope of works:
- Construction of temporary access tracks from Nullarbor Av & Katoomba St to gain access to the site
- Earthworks approximately 15,300m³ for the construction of ovals & carparks
- Stormwater installation approximately 1300 lineal metres ranging from 100Ø PVC to 450Ø RCP, including various sumps and manholes
- Subsoil installation approximately 1100m to roads and ovals
- Installation of provisional sanitary drainage to the future pavilion
- New pavement construction approximately 6000m²
- Kerbing of various types approximately 1000 lineal metres
- Mortared stone retaining wall totalling 125 lineal metres
- Installation of lighting for sporting fields and carparks
- Construction of 2No ovals totalling 26,800m²
- Construction of 2No cricket practise enclosures
- Footpaths and general concrete paving totalling 800m²
- Installation of approximately 5200 lineal metres of irrigation including necessary controls, electrical and water connections
- Construction of 185m of 1.1m high galvanized chainmesh fence
- Construction of post & rail log barriers totalling 230m
- Landscaping works to areas outside the sporting fields
