Work Health & Safety (WHS) Management System

It is the policy of Guideline ACT Pty Ltd that each employee shall be provided with a safe and healthy place in which to work. To achieve this policy, management will make every reasonable effort in the areas of accident and injury prevention, hazard removal and control.

Management and each employee have a personal obligation to ensure that their own safety and that of fellow workers is number one priority, through an absolute commitment to safe work practices. This is achieved through implementation of an extensive range of safe work method statements, risk & hazard assessments and daily site check-lists.

Safe work methods are developed and implemented on an individual task basis, in order to minimise the potential for accidents and injuries occurring.

The Guideline OHS&R System is designed to satisfy the requirements of AS/NZS 4801:2001, ACT Public Works and RTA.

Environmental Management System

Environmental compliance is regularly reviewed. Guideline ACT aims to prevent problems from occurring and promotes continuous improvement towards best practice in environmental management.

Guideline ACT is open about its environmental policy and will make it available to relevant interested parties.

This environmental policy statement shall be made available to all staff and on request to other organisations and the general public.

The Guideline Environmental Management System is designed to satisfy the requirements of AS/NZS ISO 14000 and can be modified to suit individual client needs.

Quality Management System

Guideline ACT management and staff are committed to the implementation and continual improvement of the effectiveness of the Quality system. It is the responsibility of the Managing Director through supervisory staff, and in turn of all employees, to ensure the achievement of quality in a planned and documented manner.

The Guideline Quality System is designed to satisfy the requirements of AS/NZS ISO 9001:2008, ACT Public Works and RTA and can be modified to suit individual client needs.

Pre-qualification

Guideline ACT Pty Ltd has been granted prequalification in both civil and landscape contracting by the ACT Government up to $20M. This recognises Guideline ACT’s dedication to providing a sound business structure, adequate finances, effective management systems; appropriate qualifications and expertise, relevant experience and a history of good project performance.

Civil Contractors Federation

Guideline ACT is a member of the Civil Contractors Federation (CCF).  The CCF is a representative body which provides assistance and expertise in contract development and industry issues.

Master Builders Association

Guideline ACT is a member of the Master Builders Association of Australia which is the major Australian building and construction industry association.   It is a valuable association to be involved with as it provides various services in a wide range of areas including training, legal services, industrial relations, building codes and standards, industry economics and international relations.
